Empirical Labs Fatso EL7 x - Compressor/Tape Simulator

The Emperical Labs Fatso EL7X is the successor of the popular Fatso Jr. It is specialized to simulate the typical warm sounds of vintage tube devices, discrete Class-A circuits and analog tape machines. New for the Fatso EL7X is the eleven mode. This emulates the famous UREI 1176LN at a ratio of 20:1 and replaces the old GP ratio. This setting was adopted for countless hits of the last decade. With the slower “1176” attack time, transients are not lost which results in the dynamic of the track being retained. Through a high ratio, the dynamic of every song can be restricted and produce presence, highlighting the sound. You can allow the signal to explode or only touch it lightly - everyone will love it, regardless if for vocals, bass, acoustic guitar, piano or drums.
