With the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J-45 EC Aged Vintage Sunburst acoustic guitar in slope-shoulder shape, the long-established manufacturer Epiphone presents an amazingly detailed replica of the famous slope-shoulder classic J-45 from the 1960s. The "Inspired by Gibson" version comes with an all solid mahogany body equipped with a fine-grained Sitka spruce top. Thus, the acoustic guitar, which also went down in history as "The Workhorse", produces a balanced sound enriched with warm bass and midrange frequencies. A flat mahogany neck with an Indian-Laurel fretboard and a Round-C profile also ensures exceptionally accommodating playability in all 20 frets, which intonate cleanly thanks to a compensated saddle and a 43 mm wide bone nut. The short scale length of 628 mm also allows easy fretting of the 6 steel strings, so that even extensive playing patterns are easy to master. Like the original, the Epiphone Inspired by Gibson J-45 EC Aged Vintage Sunburst features a 60's-style tortoise pickguard and precise 3-on-a-plate nickel tuners that guarantee clean tuning. To complete the instrument's function, the manufacturer installs a natural-sounding Fishman Sonitone pickup system that can be individually adjusted via a control unit in the sound hole.
