The Telecaster was the first electric guitar to be produced in series. In 1948, Leo Fender already experimented with the guitar's electric amplification. The solid body and the bolted neck were quite a sensation back in these days, but it also enabled to play the instrument at higher volumes without unwanted feedback.
Although Leo has been smiled at for his revolutionary ideas, the Telecaster is acclaimed today as a symbol of honest and untainted music. With the emphasis on simplicity and convenience, the Telecaster has become a beloved powerhorse.
This particular guitar with the serial no. S835571 from 1978 is almost completely true to the original. The transparent red finish is a typical relict of Fender's 'CBS' era. All parts are genuine stock parts except for the typical Kluson "F" tuners. These have been exchanged with closed Schaller tuners at an unknown point in time.
