The Ferrofish A32pro is a modern premium class multichannel converter for all larger recording and mixing projects. With its extensive interface equipment , it allows a variety of control modes and the integration of older digital equipment such as interfaces, DAT recorders and other converters. Especially in environments with a large number of audio devices or an analog mixing console, the A32pro is a powerful, compact single device for controlling all signal flows. At the same time, the A32pro delivers Ferrofish's usual high quality signal fidelity , stable operation with lowest latency, and uncomplicated setup and operation . Thanks to its compatibility with popular digital formats and control directly on the device or via MIDI, usability is assured for years to come.
All digital and analog channels of the A32pro can be routed to each other directly in the device and almost latency-free in 8-channel packets. This allows not only high-resolution conversion of analog and digital audio signals, but also conversion between ADAT and MADI formats . Due to its powerful DSP equipment the A32pro can be used as AD/DA converter and format converter at the same time . If, for example, an existing interface or converter with ADAT connections is to be used in a studio setup, the A32pro can simply be connected in between and the setup is extended by 32 analog I/Os.
The A32pro digital converter allows 5 control channels : For convenient operation on the device - actually a contradiction in terms - Ferrofish has installed no less than 4 multi-touch TFT displays, which can also display the digital levels of all analog inputs and outputs simultaneously. The same possibilities are available via the driver software RemoteFish , which can be downloaded free of charge from the manufacturer. For this, the A32pro can be controlled via USB, MIDI or MADI . Via MADI and MIDI simple MIDI CC commands are accepted as well- so the software is not necessary at least for controlling the basic functions. The additional GPIO interface allows switching presets and operating modes using a simple footswitch.
