The Genelec 8010 studio monitor offers the high quality in near-field situations, making it ideally suited for broadcast, computer workstations and mobile recordings. A very robust housing made from cast aluminium holds a low distortion chassis at low and high frequencies plus the amplifiers, filters and the protective circuit.
Through both of the Class-D amplifiers developed by Genelec, the 8010 delivers a clear and neutral sound even at high volumes. In the relation to the size of the housing, the optimized bass reflex tuning allows for a stunningly powerful low-end performance. After one hour without receiving a signal, the monitors enter stand-by mode automatically until they once again recognize a signal and immediately turn back on. This function can be deactivated if you wish. The analog XLR inputs allow the 8010 to be integrated with all professional studio equipment. For stereo or surround systems, the 7050 subwoofer offers an expansion of the frequency range to 25Hz with Bass-management for up to 5 channels.
