With the Gibson ES-330 Satin 2018, the Gibson Memphis Facility pays tribute to the 1959 Hollow-Body classic and presents traditional guitar design with modern features. Following the 330TD version, the ES-330 Satin 2018 features two Burstbucker humbuckers in neck and bridge position, while the proven hardware equipment with ABR-1 Tune-o-Matic bridge and trapeze tailpiece conjures up both sound character and feeling of the original. Visually, the wafer-thin satin nitrocellulose finish provides not only for interested looks, but also for an authentic aging process of the instrument.

As the classic "16th Fret" ES-330, the neck transition is traditionally located on the 16th fret.Detailed Vintage AppointmentsTo make the design of the ES-330 Satin 2018 as true to the original as possible, the Gibson Memphis Facility used a number of proven construction methods. First of all, the neck brace including tensioning screw was modelled in the classic style of the early models and used without silicone tubing. In connection with the traditional neck transition at the 16th fret, this ensures both the striking handling and the tonal character of the well-known hollow body. Gibson also dispenses with synthetic wood glue and relies on classic Hide Glue for glass-hard and resonant glued joints.
Two burstbucker pickups in neck and bridge position elicit strong Hollowbody sounds from the ES-330 Satin 2018.
Gibson Burstbucker PickupsUnlike the well-known P-90 features of the first ES-330 models, the Gibson ES-330 Satin 2018 has a double humbucker setup. The Burstbucker 1 on the neck is able to produce strong Hollowbody sounds of Blues and Jazz with a distinctive wood note without any problems, while a Burstbucker 2 in bridge position brings much more chime, clarity and if necessary also steam into play. Especially in the middle switch position, the complete spectrum of the organic ES voice can be covered by the individual tone potentiometers of both pickups.
