Authentic solidbody guitar designAs a modernized successor to the famous Les Paul, the Gibson Les Paul SG created an improved playability of the high fingerboard positions with its distinctive doublecut design. Like its predecessor, the body is made of solid mahogany and connected to the mahogany neck via the sustain-rich long neck tenon. This evokes the classic slim playing feel thanks to Authentic '61 Thin neck profile, which was determined in meticulous analysis of well-preserved originals and aptly implemented in the context of this special model.
To do justice to the model not only haptically but also sonically, Gibson equips the Gibson 60th Anniversary 1961 Les Paul SG Standard Sideways Vibrola with two hand-wound custombucker humbuckers.
