The Catalina Maple Set is a synonym for professional drum tools at a small price. The 7-ply maple shells of the Catalina Maple Drums are the culmination of all of the experience and knowledge of the traditional American manufacturer. The 2014 Catalina Maple models have been equipped with additional features which have raised the bar of these drums even further in all things comfort and sound.

Holding the head down on to the shells of the new Catalina Maple Drums is taken care of by the Catalina Mini Lugs, due to its low-weight and so few points of contact it allows for a natural development and unfolding of the sound. The holder for the floor-tom legs was reduced in size for the same reason.

In order to retain this vibration characteristic, a new tom mount was required. This took the form of the 2-point suspension mount which, as the name suggests, only comes into contact with shell at two points. The idea to give the tom holder the additional possibility of attaching to a cymbal arm may not be something new but it is most certainly a useful expansion for the Catalina Maple Drums.

The appearance of the Catalina Maple Drums has naturally also been freshened up. It is equipped with a new Round Badge logo which is also found again on the tom holder rosette of the bass drum, and comes in a selection of foil and satin finishes, blowing a breath of fresh air into the Catalina Maple Series.
