The body construction follows the proven Falcon design and consists of an arched top and back and sides made of multi-layered maple laminate to provide the ideal balance between resonance and feedback reduction. Underneath the top, the ingenious ML bracing ensures a vibrant construction that elicits a particularly full and broad sound from the body volume of the G6136TG Players Edition Falcon.

Authentic Filter'Tron Sounds

Complementing the pure acoustic sound of the Players Edition Falcon are two Gretsch FT-67 Filter'Tron humbuckers, whose distinctive Vintage voicing provides sounds suitable for a variety of genres. The two dual mid-range Output pickups produce classic Gretsch tones with tight lows, defined mids, and bell-like trebles, and are calibrated to their respective positions to provide balanced sounds in between. Both pickups are controlled via separate volume knobs and a common Master Volume with Treble Bleed Circuit and No-Load Master Tone.

Vintage Hardware for modern demands

The Gretsch G6136TG Players Edition Falcon Hollow Body's all-gold-look appointments are based on the Falcon's classic features, but offer a few useful upgrades. Behind the Adjusto-Matic bridge with ebony base, for example, a Bigsby B6GP String-Thru Vibrato without pressure roller is used, which makes string changes much easier and provides additional leverage for pitch modulation. Thanks to their clamping function, the six Grover Imperial Locking tuners reliably handle all actions of the vibrato system in a tuning stable manner.
