Construction-wise, Jackson relies on the classic bolt-on design with 34" scale length (864 mm) for the JS Series Spectra Bass JS3. The ergonomically shaped poplar body of the bass guitar convinces with an optimal balance on the strap and on the thigh. The flat "Speed Neck" profile of the bolt-on maple neck and the compound radius (305 mm to 406 mm) of the Indian Laurel fingerboard , which increases from 12" to 16 ", also promise excellent playing characteristics from the highest to the lowest register.
