The Mapex Saturn V Tour-Edition SVTE426XVW in White Marine is a three-piece professional drum set in vintage look, especially designed for live use. With many professional features, the great workmanship and the good price/performance ratio, the Mapex Saturn V Tour Edition is the perfect drum set for rock, punk and indie drummers who are on the go a lot and need a stable drum set with a fat, warm sound. The drum boilers consist of a maple / walnut hybrid and convince by their warm basic character and a balanced sound with high bass and excellent response, also thanks to the Remo Emperor and Powerstroke 3 skins, which are wound from the factory. The SONICLear cup burr and tom holder allow the drum bowl to swing completely freely and increase the contact surface of the skin, which results in simple tuning and a higher vocal range, so many music styles can be operated.

With the Saturn V Tour Edition Drums, Mapex introduces the next stage of development in the production of high-quality drums. With award-winning features and the usual excellent price-performance ratio, Mapex also stands out from the crowd with the latest Saturn generation. Like their predecessors, the Saturn V drum boilers are also 6 and 8-layer hybrids made of maple and walnut. The toms are covered with Remo Clear Emperor skins, the bass drum is crowned with a Remo Powerstroke 3 skin. The kettle hardware for the Tour Edition drum sets is offered exclusively in chrome and the four different finishes radiate a certain retro charm that harmoniously supports the vintage character of the three-part drum sets.

The Saturn V SONIClear concept

Originally developed for the Mapex Armory and Mapex Mars series, the SONIClear boiler burrs and SONIClear tom holders also improve the sound of the Saturn V series as standard. The new Kesselgratung not only improves the Mapex-typical sound, but also provides a significantly higher range of the Saturn V drums. The SONIClear tom holder does not require an extra multiclamp and can be attached directly to the desired tripod. The innovative system allows the boiler and fur to vibrate freely and prevents the unwanted transfer of energy to the hardware.
