The Marian Seraph M2 is a professional PCIe audio interface with 2 coaxial MADI inputs/outputs, enabling 256 channels per card and sample rates of 384Khz. This PCIe card is particularly suitable for professional use in recording studios and DAWs where a large number of channels with low latencies are required. With this module up to 256 channels on each card are possible. In contrast to the F-version of the M2, this basic version has electrical coaxial BNC MADI connectors instead of optical SC connectors. This module does without a WordClock module as it is included in the MWX version. Like its sister products, the M2 can be expanded with up to three identical Marian cards. A resolution of 24 bits and sampling rates of up to 384kHz also meet high quality requirements. The Multi-Client Driver Suite ensures very short access times in different software environments.
Four coaxial MADI connectors for 256 channels!The basic version M2 differs from the Seraph M2-F product line by its coaxial (BNC) MADI connectors instead of optical SCs. Thanks to two MADI inputs and two MADI outputs, up to 64 channels per cable are possible with this sound card, depending on the sample rate, and thus a total of up to 256 channels on each card. Using a special DSP, the M2 offers routing options for each channel individually, such as the choice of either the computer's processed playback signal or a latency-free copy of the signal instead. Volume adjustment for each individual channel is also no problem. The intuitive software helps with the signal redirection of the channels.
Three more soundcards expandable with TDM SyncBusAre the 256 channels per card not enough for you? At high sample rates, you often reach the channel limits faster. The Seraph M2 series can therefore be connected to up to three other cards of the same Marian type via the TDM SyncBus on the top of the module. Or you can use adapter cables to expand your system with other Marian sound systems. The SyncBus can also be used to synchronize sampling rates of connected devices and to exchange start and stop signals.
Error-free and fast driversThe driver software of the Seraph M2 guarantees very short latency times for you, no matter in which driver software the plug-in card is used. Without an appropriate multi-client suite as in the case of digital signal processors, they often Marian lock when two signals simultaneously control the same interface of the processor. This often results in avoidable latencies or the signal processor stops operation completely. But thanks to several driver interfaces of the driver suite you are not exposed to any additional waiting times or error messages.
The product manual is written in an understandable way and offers even laymen a good insight into the operation of the module. Ergonomic user interfaces of the software also ensure frustration-free use. And even in the event of a failed update, the built-in fail-safe technology saves your skin by automatically resetting the firmware to the latest functional status.
