With the new D-18, the Modern Deluxe series of the traditional manufacturer Martin & Co gets a fresh addition in the form of a classic dreadnought acoustic guitar with both traditional and modern specifications. Thanks to a special thermo treatment (VTS Vintage Tone System) of the Sitka spruce top and its bracing, the D-18 Modern-Deluxe produces a loud and defined sound that gives the impression of an instrument that has been played for decades. The warm and expressive bass and mid frequencies of the mahogany body, which is framed by a unique and elaborate East Indian rosewood binding, give the instrument a multifaceted, golden brown shimmer depending on the point of view. For comfortable playability, the manufacturer uses a mahogany neck with an ebony fingerboard that is easy to grip in all positions due to its asymmetrical neck profile and perfectly intoned due to its carefully crafted 44.45 mm wide bone nut. Further highlights are the Liquidmetal bridge pins with red dots, the 20 golden frets, the open golden tuners and the 1930s style script logo made of mother-of-pearl on the headstock. A sturdy ply hardshell case and a warranty card are included.
