As guitarist of the British-American band Monuments, John Browne undoubtedly belongs to the avant-garde of modern progessive metal. With the Mayones Duvell QATSI 6 Deluge, the Polish manufacturer based in Gdansk tailors a signature electric guitar to help him create his tight sound. Equipped with fine woods, including cloud maple in AAA quality, wenge and bubinga, as well as bare knuckle humbucker and high-quality hardware from Schaller and Hipshot, this modern metal guitar leaves nothing to be desired.
The Mayones QATSI 6 Deluge is a modern metal guitar with noble optics and high-quality equipment.
The fluently designed neck and body transition allows unhindered playability of all layers of the wenge/bubinga neck.Hard woods for differentiated soundsFor the construction of the Mayones Duvell QATSI only woods are used which promise a differentiated primary sound with crisp attack. The body is made of American ash, which promises a particularly smooth resonance thanks to T.E.W. treatment (Tonally Enhanced Wood), while the solid top made of AAA Quilted Maple sets optical highlights thanks to its unique Deluge finish. The sixfold screwed neck is made of wenge and bubinga in five stripes, which in combination with the ebony fingerboard also contribute to the tight basic sound. This carries 24 extra jumbo frets of stainless steel, between which Luminary Side Dots provide best orientation even on dark stages. In addition, the fluently designed neck and body transition together with the wide cutaway guarantees unimpeded playability in all positions.
Bare Knuckle Nailbomb and Cold Sweat Humbucker promise a modern, differentiated sound for uninhibited riffs.
Bare Knuckle Pickups for modern MetalJohn Browne Humbucker of the British manufacturer Bare Knuckle Pickups wanted the pickups for his Mayones Duvell QATSI Signature electric guitar. Accordingly, a bare knuckle nailbomb pickup equipped with an Alnico V magnet and hot windings sits in the bar position. They promise a snappy sound with explosive attack, the throaty mids and glassy highs of each riff effortlessly pushing through the band sound even during extreme down-tunings. A modern ceramic humbucker, the Bare Knuckle Cold Sweat, is used on the neck. With percussive sound and pronounced treble, it supports smooth sweeps and singing solos, but also lets screeching pinch harmonics jump out of the loudspeakers when needed. But also in the clean channel the two humbuckers can fully convince, where they present chords and melodies with harmonic balance. In addition, it is possible to split both humbuckers so that authentic single coil sounds are available.
The Schaller Hannes bridge enhances the sound of the Mayoes QATSI and offers the hand a pleasant contact surface.
Up-to-date hardwareThe Mayones QATSI 6 Deluge is equipped with state-of-the-art hardware. The strings on the body are held by Schaller Hannes Steg. Through its special construction with string guidance through the body and string supports by Graph Tech, this special bridge enriches the guitar sound with fine highs and an even tone development. At the same time, the particularly flat bridge with its edgeless surface offers a pleasant contact surface for the hand when playing Palm Mutes or similar playing techniques. In addition, light Hip Shot Grip-Lock Open Gear Locking mechanisms at the headstock ensure a precise and long-term stable tuning.
