The Ortega RCE270FT combines traditional elements of guitar building with modern features in a very successful way. The flamenco guitar is equipped with an extra flat thinline body and a generous cutaway for optimal handling. Furthermore, the Spanish-made guitar is equipped with a solid top, which makes an almost attack and an extensive sound possible. The flat neck guarantees excellent playability in all 19 frets , which have enough space so that even complex chords or tone sequences can be mastered easily. To prevent the top from being damaged during percussive playing, a large pickguard is glued to the sound hole. The instrument is rounded off by the pickup system , which has an extensive Preamp in the frame. A robust bag is included in the delivery.
Construction and woodsThe top is made of solid spruce so that the guitar can produce a typical flamenco sound with clear mid and treble frequencies. Meanwhile, the laminated maple back and sides provide dry bass frequencies with a fast decaying tone. The mahogany neck is fitted with a rosewood fingerboard that is easy to operate along its entire length. The bridge is also made of rosewood and has twelve holes with the help of which the strings can be artfully knotted.
Hardware and DesignThe headstock is fitted with gold classical tuners with white buttons that guarantee precise tuning of the 6 nylon strings . In order to clearly separate the individual components of the body, the top and back are bordered with a fine rosewood binding that contrasts pleasantly with the yellowish coloring of the woods. The soundhole is surrounded by a multi-colored, mosaic-like rosette, which gives the overall appearance an individual touch. The instrument is refined by the gossamer-thin high-gloss varnish ,
ElectronicsIn order to be able to show off the acoustic sound on stage, the Ortega RCE270FT is equipped with a high-quality pickup system from Fishman. The Fishman Clásica pickup system is a perfect match for the Ortega RCE270FT. The Fishman Clásica Blend pick up picks up the sound via a piezo element under the saddle and a microphone . The output signal can be individually adjusted with the help of a 3-band equalizer and adapted to the respective type of amplifier. Another practical tool is the tuner integrated into the Preamp.
