The PRS Wood Library McCarty Singlecut 594 Faded Whale Blue Satin with the golden scale length of 24,594" combines the magic of classic vintage instruments with modern features and convinces with adapted 58/15 LT humbuckers with coil tap function, revised Phase III tuners and the new pattern vintage neck profile. In addition, especially wretched woods from Paul Reed Smith's Wood Library are used to transform this electric guitar into an absolutely unique piece.
The PRS Wood Library McCarty Singlecut 594 Faded Whale Blue Satin convinces with precious woods and first-class vintage sounds.
The Riegelahorn neck in asymmetrical pattern vintage profile is glued to the body in a classic way.
Vintage Neck PatternThose who know the classic pattern profile of PRS instruments will feel comfortable: The pattern vintage profile takes over the classic aspects of the popular shaping and gets a little more wood behind the fretboard and a slightly asymmetrical cut. Accordingly, the bass side of the neck is slightly thicker, while the underside is narrower and cuts a good figure both in the'baseball glove' of the blues and in a classic position.
Of course, the PRS Wood Library McCarty Singlecut 594 also features a breathtakingly grained and two-part glued maple top on a body of hand-selected mahogany. The blanket with accurate bookmatching is finished with an elaborate natural binding of the wood, while the classic faded whale blue skilfully emphasizes the contrasts in the flame and grain.
Two PRS 58/15 Low Turns humbuckers with the option for coil split promise high quality vintage sounds on the amplifier.
85/15 LT Humbucker & Phase III TunerThe still young 58/15 humbucker has become an important part of the distinctive PRS sound and relies on the company's 30 years of experience. With the McCarty 594, standard treble and bass pickups in the low turn version with a lower number of windings on both spools are used for the first time in 1958 to ensure a balanced output and a good balance between neck and bridge as well as between the individual spools. Both pickups can be separately switched to coil tap mode for clear single coil sounds via push/pull tone potentiometers.
With the Phase III tuners in the tweaked version, the team around Paul Reed Smith presents the latest generation of open locking tuners. The Tweaked Phase III tuners have been extended by another screw, which tightens the gearwheel and worm and allows a more direct resonance transmission of the string into the instrument. Otherwise the tuners work like the previous Phase III tuners when changing strings or tuning.
The intensively drawn curly maple neck of the PRS Wood Library McCarty Singlecut 594 is stained to match the top in faded whale blue.
