With the new rim-sensors, the PD-128S-BC can better differentiate dynamic steps and rim shot depth. As with the previous model, the shell foils can be replaced in order to give the set a personalized touch. The PD-128S-BC does not have a mounting system, instead it is mounted onto a conventional snare stand like a "real" instrument.
