Rupert Neve Designs Portico R6 6-Slot Rack, 500 Format

The R6 from Rupert Neve Design is a 6-slot rack for 500 format modules with ample power and versatile connection possibilities. The R6 delivers mare than enough current to power even the most greedy modules. To identify and monitor problematic modules, the R6 is equipped with an LED meter displaying the amount of power being consumed. The internal power adapter is double shielded in order to prevent magnetic distortions in the modules.

The R6 offers 8 channels with symmetrical I/O options including DB-25, XLR and jack. These features are especially useful when the user transports the unit to another location and is not sure what kind of cable selection will be available or if the connection needs to be converted (e.g. with the THRU function of the channels 7-8).

The R6 was designed in such a way as to allow high quality 500 modules to be installed without any problems. In order to guarantee that modules that vary from the standard dimension also find a place in this rack, adjustable screw holes are equipped to simplify their installation. The link- function of the 500 series can be activated by the use of the Link-Jumper in channels 1-2, 3-4 or 5-6. The housing is constructed from solid steel and features rubber feat so that the rack can be placed horizontally as well as vertically. All of the sockets and components are of the highest quality, in order to allow the R6 to operate for years and years to come.
