Sandberg California VT4 MN 3-Tone Sunburst Soft Aged

The Sandberg California VT4 MN 3-Tone Sunburst Soft Aged is a classically designed electric bass with a versatile sound spectrum whose authentic vintage tone is unmistakable. The Brunswick bass builders use the proven wood combination of Alder and Maple, while Delano pickups together with the active 2-band tone control give you full control over the tone and output.

The construction of the California VT4 MN 3-Tone Sunburst Soft Aged follows the proven specifications for an electric bass. The body is shaped from Alder whilst the neck is made from Maple and screwed together utilising 6x anchor points for maximum resonance through both. The neck has a comfortably "C" profile and a flat fretboard radius, while the string spacing leaves enough space for a clean grip of the notes.

The Sandberg California VT4 is powered by a Delano T-style single coil on the bridge and a Delano V-style split coil in the middle position. With these, a broad spectrum of classic bass sounds can be achieved, with a clearly audible vintage nuance, ranging from the wiry, transparent penetration tone of the single coil to the growling low-mid range of the split coil. The fat steel poles of the pickups give the sound a smooth response and a soft, natural compression that carries the song.

High-quality Sandberg hardware rounds off the equipment of the Sandberg California VT4. The solidly built Sandberg Bridge 4, whose mass has a positive effect on the sustain and sound development of the 4-string, also allows the perfect adjustment of intonation and string position, using three-dimensionally adjustable string riders. At the headstock, the strings are first guided over the zero fret and nut before they reach the lightweight but very stable Sandberg Machine Heads.
