Sonor One of a kind Snare 14"x6", Poisonwood

The Sonor One Of A Kind snare 14"x6" with Poisonwood finish is a true high-end drum for pros and a very nice collectors piece. With a total of 110 instruments, the name is not necessarily based on the production numbers. The name "One Of A Kind" stands for Sonor snare drum models that are very unique in terms of sound character and looks. These snare drums are true collector's items with the best materials and the highest, traditional craftsmanship.

This year, Sonor offers two new models in the exclusive "One Of A Kind" series and they are strictly limited - 70 snares with the "Poisonwood" finish and only 40 with the "Pacific Walnut Burl" finish.

This years One Of A Kind models are different in size and the materials used. The "Pacific Walnut Burl" comes with German beech. A total of 15 plies result in a thickness of 10 mm. The "Poisonwood" model features an 18-ply maple shell with a thickness of 12 mm. Both snares have 45° bearing edges.

An optical highlight of the "One Of A Kind" snares are the elaborate badges. The laser cut badges feature the Sonor logo as wooden inlays.

While the selected wood and the shell construction is very important for the sound, the hardware that is used is just as important. The snare is tuned with cast hoops and it features the extremely smooth and quiet Dual Glide snare throw-off. The high quality snare wire features 24 brass strands and is attached with nylon strings. 10 single lugs per side allow high precision tuning.

For a safe transport of this exclusive instrument, Sonor includes a special snare drum case made by Hardcase that was developed especially for the "One Of A Kind" snares. Every snare also comes with a "welcome box" which includes a certificate, a tuning key as well as a lanyard and keychain.
