AstroNoise by Synthrotek is a wild combination of chiptune oscillator and CMOS drumvoice. If no cable is plugged into the trigger jack, the module behaves like a chiptune oscillator with a very noisy sound and is perfect for recreating video game sounds of the 80s. If you plug a cable into the trigger jack, the audio output is controlled by the decay envelope which turns this special sound generator into a drum module. Using rate controls, two LFOs, switchable sound sets and an envelope, AstroNoise creates a wide range of typical Atari punk, video game and Noise swosh sounds. Two LEDs behind the round window follow the course of the decay envelope, which together with the rate control in the shape of a spaceship and the cool 80s line design looks like the spaceship is orbiting a planet!
