High quality shell material with innovative features

The shells of the TAMA Imperialstar drum sets are made from Pappel wood and posses a wall thickness of 7.5mm. Pappel wood produces a full, warm sound combined with a medium attack. In order to achieve the best possible sound, the shell bearing edge is precisely cut with lubricating gel to 45° and thereby offers the perfect contact surface for the head. Low-mass lugs and Tama's patented tom mounting system give the shells there exceptional resonance and optimal vibration characteristics. Intricate and beautiful finishes complete the look. Consisting of an insensitive foil coating, the finishes of the TAMA Imperialstar drum sets, in contrast to other sets in this price class, are glued to the entire surface of the shell so that the premium look lasts for years.
