Twisted Electrons Crazy 8 Beats is a step sequencer in desktop format. It can process analog (trigger and CV) as well as digital (MIDI) signals and can alternatively be integrated into a Eurorack system. Crazy 8 Beats has eight MIDI tracks that can be routed to two different outputs. Each track contains 16 patterns, which can be programmed via real-time recording as well as step input. The switching of the patterns can be done globally or per track. In action, the step sequencer can deliver four play modes per track.
Analog and digital connectionsFor connection to the analog and modular outside world, extensive connection options such as 8 trigger outputs, variable Accent/CV-Out and CV outputs per step are available. For creative and modern beat design there is one of 4 individual play modes per track (forward, backward, ping pong, random) as well as the possibility to use different lengths, rates and directions e.g. for polyrhythms. Up to 16 patterns can be connected to create a song. The synchronization can be done via MIDI clock or trigger input, whereby Crazy8 beats can run as master or slave.
Four play modesPlaymodes for the Twisted Electrons Crazy 8 beats forward, backward, ping pong and random are available. It is also possible to use different lengths, rates and directions for polyrhythms, for example.
