The Universal Audio Arrow is a Thunderbolt 3 desktop audio interface and is compatible with both Mac OSX and Windows computers with Thunderbolt 3 connections. The result is pristine audio conversion delivered via the two Unison mic preamps and the sophisticated software/hardware integration working inside the Arrow. Placing a preamp plugin into the Mic input of the Arrow Console software will reconfigure the impedance of the mic preamps using the on-board UAD-2 Solo Core processor. This allows for the reproduction of classic and world-class preamps used in studios and on recordings for decades, including their signature impedance, gain staging, “sweet spots,” and circuitry behaviour.
Also included with the Arrow is a full suite of Studio Processing plugins, so recording and mixing of your music can be immediately treated to quality dynamics processing, such as the Pultec EQ and the LA-2A Levelling Amplifier. The front panel instrument input also allows access to low-latency emulations of classic amplifiers such as the Fender ’55 Tweed Deluxe and the Eden WT800 Bass Amplifier, available from UAD as downloads. The sonic accuracy of these emulations can be experienced with the included Marshall Plexi Classic emulator.
The tiny footprint of the Arrow makes it the perfect companion to any kind of mobile recording scenario or in situations where space is a factor. Easily transportable in a laptop bag, the Arrow provides rock-solid audio recording and conversion in a lightweight yet robust unit.
