The microphone features premium components from renowned electronics manufacturers, a custom-made output transformer from CineMag with improved frequency response and a capsule specially developed by Warm Audio. Thanks to its switchable polar patterns, the WA-87 R2 is not only interesting for vocalists (especially in rap and metal), but like its great role model is also suitable for all imaginable studio situations, such as various forms of room miking or M/S stereophony. Its good signal-to-noise ratio also ensures a professional level of cleanliness in ambience recording. Finally, the functional range of the Warm Audio WA-87 R2 is rounded off by a -10db pad for loud sound sources and a high-pass filter at 80Hz.
