The all solid FGX3 from Yamaha's Red Label Series combines traditional aesthetics with modern and innovative features. Accordingly, a new scalloped bracing is combined with a thermally treated Sitka spruce top on a mahogany body to produce a warm, powerful tone with deep bass, nuanced and vocal mids and radiant highs. In addition, the thermal Acoustic Resonance Enhancement (A.R.E.) treatment conveys the sound and sustain of aged wood.
Thus this dreadnought turns out to be the ideal companion for the singer-songwriter who appreciates a powerful accompaniment for their voice. The shortened scale length of 634mm provides comfortable playability, whereas the chrome-plated open tuners keep the tuning clean.
For on-stage use the FGX3 features an Atmosfeel pickup with a piezo sensor in the bridge to capture low frequencies, whereas a microphone transmits the low and mid frequencies. A newly developed contact sensor captures the high frequencies. The result is a full, natural sound image that can be easily adjusted. Last but not least a hardbag is already included in the scope of delivery.
