For example, pitch bend and modulation can now be controlled via joystick. The 25 synth-action mini-keys are extremely easy to play and control. 8 MPC pads with note repeat also speak for themselves and are very popular with AKAI fans. The pads can be switched in three modes: Note, CC and Program Change commands. Together with the 8 freely programmable potentiometers, this results in undreamt-of flexibility for a controller keyboard of this size. Due to its size, the MPK Mini Mk2 is particularly interesting for mobile use. The MPK Mini Mk2 Black is a limited edition with a black keyboard.

The arpeggiator of the Akai MPK Mini Mk2 is particularly noteworthy and unique in this compact class. With this you can play driving arpeggios in a DAW as well as in a live game via a software synthesizer. The keyboard can be used to set parameters such as note resolution, direction and swing during play. The Tap Tempo allows the arpeggiator to always run synchronously to the band, even during live performances. MPK Mini also features Octave Up and Down buttons, which quickly switch the keyboard to a different pitch. Naturally, the MPK Mini MK2 is powered via USB to ensure mobility.
