The 8341AM monitor is Genelec an extremely compact 3-way monitor that is ideal as a nearfield/midfield monitor for post-production and broadcast applications due to its small dimensions . The coaxial system provides an ideal point source with an absolutely linear, discoloration-free frequency response for reliable evaluation of mixes and fatigue-free listening. Three powerful power amplifiers supply the monitor with a total of 550 watts . The large sound guide ensures a wide listening zone and excellent stereo imaging . Two oval woofers provide optimum directivity down to the lower frequency ranges . The loudspeaker can be operated horizontally or vertically without any problems due to the coaxial alignment. The die-cast aluminium housing is robust and extremely low in resonance. The rounded edges of the housing prevent sound discoloration. A protective circuit prevents damage if the playback levels are too high.

Interfering room influences can be significantly reduced by using DSP filters (DIP switches on the rear panel) or targeted calibration with the GLM2 measuring microphone / software . The IsoPod foot included in delivery decouples the loudspeaker from the ground . In addition, the loudspeaker can be tilted and precisely aligned to the listening position.
