CME VX 6 is a full-featured USB master keyboard with ALPS motor faders and an overwhelming array of controllers, as well as a built-in USB audio interface. The keyboards are class compliant and are immediately recognized by the computer without a driver.
The VX 6 offers an overwhelming range of controllers, function keys and connectorsThe most spectacular feature of the VX 6 are the 9 ALPS motor faders, with which you can comfortably create automated mixes, for example. With the twelve trigger pads - whose velocity can be adjusted in 10 curves - drum patterns can be excellently programmed or events of any kind can be "fired". 8 knobs and 9 endless knobs are available for editing plug-ins and effectively"bending" sounds. You can express your live play not only with the pitch bend and the modulation wheel: The VX series also has a ribbon controller and the option of connecting a (optional) Breath controller and two freely assignable pedals.
Semi-weighted quality keyboard with velocity response and aftertouchVX 6 features the proven semi-weighted CME quality keyboard with velocity response and aftertouch. CME-typical is the road-suited processing of the keyboards. The robust metal chassis with its aluminium panel not only looks elegant, but also guarantees maximum durability - in the studio as well as on stage. For the dynamics of the keyboard you can choose from 10 different stop curves. The keys can also be assigned different scales or ethnic temperaments as required.
Style Sequencer & Audio InterfaceIn "Style Sequencer" mode, MIDI files or parts of them can be placed on the trigger pads. By pressing the pads, you then start the relevant song sections and can influence them in real time with the faders and knobs. VX Series keyboards feature an integrated 32-bit CPU and USB audio interface. Firmware, data and song updates are possible via USB. The VX series is "Class Compliant" under Windows and Mac OS X and is immediately recognized by the computer. (MIDI controller and USB MIDI functions work fine in current operating systems. However, the audio drivers were only maintained until Windows 7 and Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.
Full connectionsThe rear panel of the VX 5 leaves nothing to be desired: 4 MIDI outputs for controlling external MIDI hardware and one MIDI input. The integrated USB audio interface offers 2 adjustable mic/line inputs and 2 line outputs. In addition, 2 stereo headphones can be connected. Furthermore there are 2 sockets for sustain and/or expression pedals as well as a connection possibility for a BC3 Breath controller. In addition to the standard USB port, the VX series also has a 2-gang USB hub. This is useful for connecting a USB light or a mouse etc. directly to the keyboard. To the left of the MIDI jacks is a slot under a blind panel for retrofitting optional expansion modules.
Configuration and programming......is a real pleasure with the VX series. With the many function buttons, the large data wheel, the 10-digit keypad and the 2x 16-digit LC display, the keyboards can be conveniently prepared for the respective application. For the sake of clarity, most buttons are equipped with a status LED, and the trigger pads also have a status backlight, so you are always in the picture
. 64 controllers in total can be assigned functions of your choice if required.
The keyboard can be divided into up to 4 zones.
MIDI channel, MIDI output, velocity, octave and transpose can be set separately for each zone.
Thanks to the U-CTRL function, a simple push of a button is all it takes to adapt the VX keyboard to the Mackie© Control template of most popular DAW programs.
