iZotope enters the third round with Nectar, which allows you to add vocals at the right place in the Mix. First introduced in 2010, Nectar has found a place in studios around the world, providing world-class tools to get professional results in seconds. With version 3, Nectar helps your vocal tracks sing by addressing every part of the vocal production chain, providing valuable support functions and communication capabilities for your entire session. Vocal Assistant (Unmasked)

Nectar's Vocal Assistant is a handy virtual pair of "ears" that analyzes incoming signals and automatically alerts the user to volume, resonance, timbre and harsh frequency problems. Its intelligent algorithm additionally establishes a starting point for mixing, in which eg. Compressor and EQ settings are changed. After the process, all parameters can be changed at will to give the mix your own touch.
The Vocal Assistant Unmasked works with the so-called Inter-Plugin Communication and automatically detects frequencies that overlap on several audio tracks. It makes sure that "space" is freed up in the frequency range for the vocals by comparing the information and applying appropriate EQ settings. By the way, this communication between plugins also takes place with other plugins from iZotope (Neutron 2 Advanced, Relay).

Other features

Nectar 3 now has two new and dynamic 24-band EQs with special features. These EQs serve both correction and creative processes. The new Follow EQ mode also provides direct, dynamic pitch tracking, eliminating the need to manually edit individual resonant frequencies and harmonics to actively shape tone and sound.

Every module in Nektar 3 has been redesigned with your time and experience in mind. Underscored by state-of-the-art and luxurious graphics, Nektar 3 integrates your actions directly with what you see in its smooth, delightful visualizations. Nektar 3 also comes with iZotope RX Breath Control, which is designed to intelligently detect and automatically suppress breaths in dialog or vocal recordings, saving valuable time in the composition and preparation stages of vocal editing.
