Mapex Saturn V MH SV628CE, Granite Sparkle #QL

With the Saturn V drums, Mapex introduces the next step in the development of high quality drums. With award winning features and the great price-performance ratio, Mapex manages to set itself apart from the wide range of drums on the market. Just like the predecessors, the Saturn V drum shell are 6 and 8-ply hybrids made from maple and walnut. The toms are equipped with Remo Clear Emperor heads, the bass drum features a Remo Powerstroke head. All Saturn V MH Exotic drums come with an outer maple ply with a beautiful burl finish. The shell hardware of the Exotic sets is offered exclusively in black.

Originally developed for the Armory and Mars series, the new SONIClear bearing edges and tom holder are a standard feature on the Saturn V series as well. The result is an improved sound and a wider tuning range as well. There are no additional multi clamps required for the mounting of the toms in order to increase resonance and eliminate unwanted energy transfer to the hardware.

The floor tom legs are also equipped with the new SONIClear technology for an optimum resonance and symbiosis of head and shell. The result is a very rich, powerful sound with a lot of harmonics.
