This Humbucker is called Fred, but it should better be called Joe. Developed for Joe Satriani, the Fred is a PAF Pro with even hotter output, mids and harmonics. This pickup is an essential part of Joe Satriani's lead sound. It is quite remarkable that the pickup is still capable of keeping a dynamic picking response and articulation. When the volume is rolled down a bit, even smooth vintage sounds come out of this incredible pickup!

Recommended for neck and bridge position.
