HVX Shell Construction

The shells of the Performance Series feature a new layer orientation concept called HVX. Layers of high-quality hard rock maple from North American are set to each other either vertically or horizontally. This produces an impressive, deep, ground sound with a strong attack with a ton of resonance and sustain. The DW Performance Set is ideally suited for stage performances, but also great for recording in the studio.

Hardware and exclusive DW High-End Features

The popular and often copied lugs of the DW Drums are slightly smaller and not completely round on the Performance Series which doesn't hurt its appearance. The Snare comes with the proven Mag Throw Off System from DW, which allows for a comfortable and fast tensioning of the snares with the help of magnets.
