Fame Blaze series

The Blaze drum series by Fame is aimed at the pros of tomorrow. Beginners and advanced drummers will find a fully equipped drumset with everything they need to start a successful drumming career. Aside from the 5-piece shell set consisting of bass drum, 2 tom toms, floor tom and a snare drum, they are also provided with a hardware set with all necessary stands and a pedal. In terms of features and sound, the low priced Blaze drums do not have to hide from much more expensive brand instruments. The Fame Blaze series offers one of the best price-performance ratios on the market.

Material and features

The shells of the Blaze drums are made from poplar. Poplar is a very popular wood for entry level instruments. Despite the low price, it offers nice tonal features and is also easy to process. A pretty remarkable feature in this price range: the tom toms are mounted on so called rim mounts to guarantee optimal resonance and sustain which drastically improves the sound. The drums are tuned with the help of flanged hoops and standard tuning rods. The tom holders feature multiple adjustment options in order to offer precise setup possibilities.

The bass drum

The bass drum features wooden hoops with a nice inlay in set color. A tomholder for two single tom mounts is attached to the top of the bass drum. The telescope bassdrum legs have adjustable feet which can be switched between rubber and spurs. The bass drum claws are rubber padded. This feature does not only protect the hoop, it also results in a more resonant sound of the bass drum.

Just like the rest of the drum set, the snare drum is also made from poplar. It features steel hoops with a total of 8 dual lugs. The 20-strand snare wire is made from steel and provides a nice crack to the sound.

The hardware

In order to guarantee maximum durability of this kit, all stands of the hardware set feature double braced legs. It does not only make the stand more robust, it also guarantees solid positioning thanks to the increased weight. The pedal is driven by a reliable single chain and features a classic felt beater.
