Future Sound Systems Gristleizer Filter TG3 is a filter module for modular synthesizers in Eurorack format. The Gristleizer modules are based on an old effect device of industrial pioneers Throbbing Gristle. The filter of the Gristleizer Filter TG3 works differently than most filter modules, because it is based on a JFET-controlled multi-feedback bandpass filter. In addition to some frequency control inputs, the TG3 also adds register and resonance controls to the original filter circuit. Its characteristics are not dissimilar to a wah-wah pedal, but can also produce other vowel tones, especially with multiple parallel approaches. The resonance control allows a simple self-oscillation of the circuit, so that the TG3 filter can also be used as a sound source.
