With the Gibson ES-275 Figured Dark Vintage Natural the Memphis Division of the American traditional manufacturer presents a hollow body electric guitar that follows the desire of many jazz guitarists for a modernized, comfortably playable instrument. The jazz guitar with its noble Riegelahorn top and historically sounding MHS humbuckers sets optical as well as tonal accents.

The construction of the Gibson ES-275 Figured follows the desire of many guitarists for an electric guitar for jazz that combines traditional sound with comfortable handling. Accordingly, the body is considerably more compact compared to corresponding models, but delivers a warm, resonant basic sound due to the Hollow Body construction with 3-layer curly maple-poplar laminate. The Les Paul-like neck profile also contributes to comfortable handling, while 22 frets extend the range considerably.

The Gibson ES-275 Figured Memphis Historic Spec (MHS) uses humbuckers with their authentic vintage sound. With playful dynamics, the pickups transmit the resonant basic sound of the jazz guitar to the amplifier and, with their transparent sound spectrum, clearly recall the historic PAFs from the golden era of guitar construction. The pickups are controlled by the classic 3-way toggle switch and individual volume and tone controls, which can be used to select a wide range of first class tones.

Grover Milk Bottle Rotomatics promise a stable and precise tuning of the Gibson ES-275 Figured.

Hardware between Vintage and Modern

The Gibson ES-275 Figured hardware bridges the gap between vintage and modern. While the strings are held at the headstock of Grover Rotomatic tuners with historically correct Milk Bottle cases, they run over a Tune-O-Matic bridge with titanium strings that lend clear brilliance to the high spectrum. The strings are held by the stylish Zig-Zag tailpiece on the body side.

The Gibson ES-275 comes with a moulded case and certificate.
