The compact design of the Guild OM-240E makes it perfect for Pickings and fingerstyle, producing expressive midrange and clear treble frequencies that unfold quickly and completely thanks to a scalloped X-bracing and gauzy matte finish. A solid Sitka spruce top with tight grain enriches the tone with a bright timbre, which is given an added warmth by a laminated mahogany body. For obliging playability, the manufacturer uses a flat mahogany neck with a Slim-C profile for the OM-240 and a pau-ferro fingerboard that is easy to finger in tandem with a 43mm nut width at all 20 frets.
