With the Ibanez Premium SR30TH5PII-FNL Florid Natural Low Gloss, the traditional Japanese company celebrates the 30th anniversary of the legendary Soundgear design with a very special electric bass. The special model has a body with generous resonance chambers, while Nordstrand pickups and the active 3-band tone control provide differentiated sounds. In addition, the electric bass offers an elaborately built neck with KTS titanium inlays and indestructible hardware in gold finish.

As the three oval sound holes in the solid Lacewood top of the Ibanez Premium SR30TH5PII already show, the 5-string bass has generous resonance chambers in its ash and mahogany body, which promise a particularly warm and resonant basic sound. With its ergonomic lines, the Soundgear Semi-Hollowbody Bass also snuggles up to the player and thus occupies a particularly stable position.

The neck Ibanez Premium SR30TH5PII-FNL Florid Natural Low Gloss is constructed as elaborately as the body. A total of five parts of wenge and bubinga wood form the basis of the screwed neck, which lies particularly comfortably in the hand with the slim "Atlas 5" profile and lets every groove go almost by itself. In addition, titanium rods from KTS are embedded in the neck, which give it enormous stability even with frequent climate fluctuations. The fretboard is also made of wenge and carries 24 medium frets and abalone inlays.

Nordstrand pickups and active electronics

The pickups of the Ibanez Premium SR30TH 5-string bass come from the American noble forge Nordstrand. Accordingly, the Nordstrand Big Single Pickups convince with their aggressive, powerful sound, which makes every note played noticeable in the pit of the stomach, but still retains the typical single coil transparency. In addition, there is an active 3-band tone control on board, which allows particularly precise adjustments of the sound image with the triple-switchable centre frequency for the mid-band. If necessary, the equalizer can also be switched on to enjoy the pure passive sound when playing the electric bass.

First-class hardware

A high-quality hardware equipment in the raised gold finish completes the Ibanez Premium SR 30th. Five Ibanez Mono Rail V single bridges sit on the body, which not only guarantee a perfect adjustment of intonation and string position, but also decouple the strings from mutual interference and thus ensure a differentiated sound experience. From here the strings run with 34" long scale scale (864 mm) in the direction of the head flap, on which they are guided via the Graphtech Black Tusq XL saddle to the indestructible Gotoh bass tuners.
