With the Ibanez Standard SR30TH5II-DEF Dragon Eye Burst Flat, Ibanez presents a special model of the legendary electric bass with its unique sound for the 30th anniversary of the Soundgear design. Accordingly, the typical streamlined body has resonance chambers for a particularly lively sound, while the screwed neck shines with its comfortable profile. The Bartolini pickups and active 3-band tone control on the amplifier give the 5-string electric bass a versatile sound.
The Ibanez standard SR30TH5II-DEF Dragon Eye Burst Flat offers a resonant sound thanks to its semi-acoustic body.
Ibanez Standard SR30TH5II: Anniversary model with semi-acoustic bodyAs the three oval sound holes in the ash top already show, the mahogany body of the Ibanez SR30TH hides resonance chambers that give the sound of the electric bass a special warmth and a resonant response, whereby the low B-string is also harmoniously integrated. With its ergonomic curves, the Soundgear also clings to the player and occupies a particularly stable playing position. Furthermore, the screwed neck made of Jatoba and Bubinga convinces with its comfortable profile, on which every classical and modern playing technique can be easily handled.
Bartolini pickups and active electronicsTwo Bartolini MK-1 humbuckers are used as pickups on the Ibanez standard SR30TH5II, whose articulated reproduction with tight low end, clear mids and silky highs perfectly captures the resonant, warm character of the semi-hollow body. The pickups also convince with their extremely lively dynamics, so that nothing stands in the way of expressive electric bass playing. For further adjustment of the sound image, an active 3-band tone control is also on board, which allows particularly precise interventions in the character-forming frequency ranges with the switchable centre frequency.
Ibanez Hardware for the finishing touchA high-quality hardware equipment from own production gives the Ibanez SR30TH beyond that the final polish. The solidly built Ibanez Accu-cast 305 bridge contributes significantly to the even sound development of the five-string, while its two-dimensionally adjustable string riders enable precise intonation and comfortable string positioning. With a classic 34" scale length (864 mm), the strings run from the bridge towards the headstock, where Ibanez tuners ensure precise and stable tuning.
