With the Martin DJR-10E-02, the traditional U.S. company from Nazareth Pennsylvania presents a compact dreadnought Western guitar.
Woods and constructionThis one is already made of solid wood and produces an amazingly voluminous and warm sound despite its small size. To produce expressive midrange frequencies, the manufacturer relies on a Sitka spruce top and a Sapele body, which works in tandem with a flat Scalloped-X bracing to produce a direct and full-bodied tone that has a long-lasting decay. A short Select Hardwood neck also offers accommodating playability across all 20 frets, set into a sustainable Richlite fingerboard that intonates cleanly thanks to a 44.45mm saddle made from GraphTech TUSQ. With a multi-piece mother-of-pearl soundhole rosette, the instrument is given a classy touch that easily stands out in a guitar that is generally stripped down to the essentials.
Hardware and pickupsChrome-plated tuners guarantee precise tuning of the 6 steel strings, which end in a bridge made of Black-Richlite and are fixed with bridge pins made of plastic. The Martin DJR-10E-02 Dreadnought is rounded off with a Fishman Sonitone pickup system. This has a control in the soundhole, which is equipped with a volume and a tone pot. The scope of delivery includes a robust transport bag.
