With laminated mahogany top and back and laminated spruce top , Ortega's D7E acoustic bass relies on a traditional wood selection that, combined with the 32" medium scale length (812 mm) , promises a grown-up sound with deep low end and well-measured brilliance. The slim profile mahogany neck with 45mm nut width also sits comfortably in the hand, allowing you to execute any Bassline with ease on the 18-fret rosewood fingerboard.

MagusPRO/B pickup system

With the Ortega MagusPRO/B pickup system , the Deep Series D7E-BFT-4 acoustic bass is ideally equipped for use with a bass amplifier. Thus, the pickup convinces with its natural and unadulterated output of the sound character, while the preamp in the frame is not only equipped with a 3-band equalizer to adjust the sound, but also has an integrated tuner to quickly tune the bass guitar. Moreover, the phase switch helps in preventing unwanted feedbacks. Last but not least, encapsulated die-cast tuners on the headstock of the Deep Series D7E-BFT-4 Bourbon Burst Acoustic Bass from Ortega ensure accurate and robust tuning.
