Forty Eight 5 RW Blackburst Satin Five-string electric bass with 35 inch scale, ash body, Sandberg pickups and active 2-band tone control, including gig bag

The Sandberg Forty Eight 5 RW Blackburst Satin is a 5-string electric bass whose unique body shaping in modern vintage style immediately catches the eye on every stage. The combination of classic woods, an extra-long 35 inch scale, powerful Sandberg pickups and an active 2-band tone control promises a wide range of fat rock sounds that are in no way inferior to the breath-taking look.

Classic Construction
For the construction of the Sandberg Forty Eight, the Brunswick bass specialists rely on classic woods. Accordingly, the strikingly designed body is made of Ash, whilst the six fold screwed neck is made of Maple with a Rosewood fingerboard. In combination with the extra-long 35-inch scale (889mm), this combination guarantees a tight fundamental tone with a loud response that also accurately represents the low B-string. The wide neck is held in the comfortable "C" profile so that every groove goes easily out of your hand when playing bass.

Fat Sound
The Sandberg Forty Eight's impressive metal caps conceal two powerful Sandberg pickups, with which the bass on the amplifier delivers variable sounds without the low B-string dropping in pressure and definition. The Sandberg Power humbucker, placed close to the bridge with serially wired coils, delivers a brute output and a mid-focused sound image that asserts itself in the band sound with playful ease. The Sandberg Split Coil in the middle position, on the other hand, convinces with its rough low-middle growl, which gives rock grooves in particular the necessary impetus. A musically tuned 2-band tone control is also available for adjusting the sound, which can be bypassed via the push/pull volume control.
