Toontracks EZkeys Cinematic Grand is no ordinary virtual piano. Based on a classic Bosendorfer grand piano from 1891, this unique VST was recorded in 4 individual configurations, each individually and each with its own effects, for special sounds in the field of film music and sound design. The novel hybrid instrument gets its modified sound from various objects placed on or between the strings. Once every single string was struck with a horse hair bow, another time it was struck with the bare hand. Various modifications provide unique damping, while others likedrum provide natural overtones that create a shimmering, airy sound.

On the technical side, Toontrack's algorhythm scores with its absolutely lossless compression technology TPC, which enables extremely low latency values and ensures that EZkeys only requires 500 MB of RAM. The average loading time until the sample set is fully imported is significantly less than 10 seconds.
