With the Bass Guitars of the TRBX Series, Yamaha is presenting the successors of the popular RBX Basses with a new design and even great sound versatility.
The body of the 4-string Yamaha TRBX 304 is made from mahogany with a bolt-on, five-part neck made of maple and mahogany. The fretboard made from rosewood features 24 frets, which thanks to the ergonomic neck/body transition are all very easy and comfortable to reach. The special contouring of the body improves the ergonomics of the instrument, giving it improved balance and less top- heaviness.
The pickup configuration is made up of two passive Yamaha MHB3 Humbuckers with ceramic magnets and large Pole Pieces, delivering a balanced and clear sound. The Yamaha TRBX 304 is also equipped with an active 2-band sound control, which is expanded by the Performance EQ. This offers 5 sound presets in total, which can be selected via the 5-way Performance EQ Switch.
The "Flat"-Preset offers the untouched sound of the pickups and the 2-band sound control. "Finger" and "Solo" offer varying increases of the middle spectrum, giving the sound its enormous assertiveness.
"Pick" on the other hand gives the sound highlights in the higher end of the spectrum and reduction in high-mids as well as the giving the bass an accentuated and transparent sound. The "Slap"-Preset possesses a significant mid-scoop and delivers a fat sound with brilliant highs, which is great for the playing technique.
The solid bridge of the Yamaha TRBX 304 possesses four adjustable string guides and guarantees perfect intonation. The high quality capsulated tuners give the TRBX 304 great tuning stability and make tuning very smooth.
