The 0-CTRL from Make Noise is a combination of sequencer and touch controller and is aimed equally at friends of experimental and loop-based music. The completely analog device does without menus, sub-functions or even a display and implements inputs immediately. The eight "golden" buttons are capacitive controllers- touching them not only defines the current step in the sequence, but also generates a pressure value (aftertouch). The three knobs assigned to each button define the pitch, decay time of the decay envelope and duration of the sequence run for each button/step. This allows for extremely dynamic playing, whether by hand or sequentially. In addition, the direction of playback can be varied via control voltage, so for example backwards, oscillating and random are also possible. If you include the gate single outputs or a Eurorack sequencer, 0-CTRL can be dynamically reset to realize playback patterns with less than eight steps. Thanks to clock and reset inputs, the unit can be synchronized to a Eurorack modular system or a MIDI to clock interface.
