During the development of the Klasik 2020, special emphasis was placed on bass response and transient accuracy. A clever cabinet design with a rear bass reflex tube enables a bass response down to an impressive 39Hz, which is not just an empty promise from the product brochure but is actually noticeable when listening. The linear-phase filter network in the analog crossover ensures excellent phasing, so that there are hardly any cancellations, especially in the bass and low-mid range, which is susceptible to them, and the impression of very good impulse response is maintained over the entire listening range.

A classic tuning problem of multi-way systems, namely cancellations around the crossover frequency and the disturbing audibility of the transition from tweeter to woofer, has been solved very well by APS, not only in this price range. Despite a slightly featured treble band, the Klasik sound like a very well tuned speaker should sound and deliver an even frequency response without jumps or audible transitions.

All in all, these speakers are a remarkable alternative to all monitor systems in the price range up to 1500€ per pair!
