Since 1982 the musician, artist and composer- Ferdinand F?rsch has been inventing and building innovative music instruments and sound sculptures. Until now, over a hundred musical instruments have been developed (metal drums, string instruments and combinations, sound images, drum- and sound walls and sound machines), building them from a wide range of materials. His instruments are used in concerts, live performances and exhibitions around the world (The Kitchen, NYC, N.Y.C., Shanghai Arts Festival, West Africa, numerous European festivals etc.) A central inspiration for his creations has been the relationship between the acoustic and the visual, between sound and form, hearing and seeing. With the creativity of this interplay, Ferdinand F?rsch delivers a unique, never before heard diversity. In 1997 Ferdinand F?rsch established the KLANGHAUS in Hamburg, an experimental forum for concerts, exhibitions and performances. After 30 years, KLANGHAUS library gives us access, as a virtual instrument on the basis of the Best Service ‘ENGINE’, to the fascinating sound world of a true artist.
