Golden Age Project D2 MkII

The Golden Age Project D2 MKII is a dynamic microphone with a large diaphragm capsule. It contains 3 switchable filters that change the sound characteristics: Filters 1 and 2 cut the bass at 120 and 210 Hertz , respectively, and 3dB each to compensate for proximity effect. Filter 3 cuts the midrange at 5kHz, linearizing the frequency response of the microphone. The filters can of course be combined. This makes the D2 large diaphragm microphone suitable for vocals as well as for various instrumental recordings. Golden Age Project recommends the microphone especially for Bass drums, bass guitar, speech and vocals. The 3-stage filter provides a convenient way to experiment with the sound without having to change the mic. Due to its good directivity, the Golden Age Project D2 is also suitable for live use.
