For the construction of the body of the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AS93FM-TCD, Ibanez uses laminated curly maple, whereby back and top are connected with a solid center block. Accordingly, the electric guitar delivers a particularly resonant sound without tending to feedback at high volumes. At the same time the slim mahogany neck offers a high playing comfort for all playing techniques.

Two Super 58 humbuckers are used as pickups on the Ibanez Artcore Expressionist AS93FM-TCD Transparent Cherry Red, with which George Benson, Pat Metheny or Eric Krasno also form their characteristic sounds.
