For the construction of the Kramer D-1 bass, Kramer uses a proven wooden combination that promises a powerful bass sound. The body is made of mahogany, while the fivefold screwed neck is made of maple. With the slim "D" profile, it also fits comfortably in the hand, so that between the 24 frets of the ebony fingerboard every bass riff is easy to get out of your fingers.

The Kramer D-1 bass is equipped with an active EMG humbucker and an active EMG 2-band tone control.

The active EMG MMCS bass humbucker provides powerful bass sounds that represent every note with a full low end, strong midrange and silky midrange.
